Ok, I got it

Wayne was our first Irish Wolfhound and came to join our busy home in January 2003 at 10 weeks old. He soon became a treasured member of our large family and not long after we named our house "Wayne's World"! Wendy is Wayne's Niece (his sister's puppy) and joined us in October 2005 also aged 10 weeks. Our home also consists of 5 children - Roxanne, Charlotte, Phoebe, Rosanna and Emily, 4 cats, Frank, Polly, Beryl and Zippy, and a hamster called Tinkerbell - not forgetting my husband Mick and myself of course!

Since then, our family has increased in size. Wendy gave birth to a beautiful litter of puppies on 7th May 2008. We have kept 2 of the puppies - Bobbie and Minnie, who now have their own page where their progress is being followed on a regular basis. The other puppies have all gone to fantastic homes and as we receive them, progress reports and photos are regularly added to the puppy page.

Wayne is a blood donor, with regular trips to the vet where The Royal Veterinary College come to take his blood. No, he doesn't get a cuppa and a biscuit after, but he does get a treat and a big bag of dog food for his good deed.

Irish Wolfhounds truly are Man's best friend. They are friendly, gentle, kind, sensitive, loving, loyal and magnificent. I cannot imagine our home without them. They truly steal your heart.

We hope you enjoy our Website. Click on the links (below left) to take you through the website and see more of our beautiful hounds. We regularly add new pictures, so be sure to keep coming back and having a look through.
LATEST NEWS
Some very sad news. Bramble - Waynie's Mum - had to be put to sleep on Monday. At 10 & a half she was a very old lady & had become very weak & had gone off her food. Mick and myself were only with them in Ireland last week & it was lovely to see Bramble plodding about. It was a tough decidion & our hearts go out to Mary & Tony. RIP beautiful old lady x

The Piczo problem still hasn't been rectified and so I am still unable to add any more pictures. . . very frustrating!

Wayne was our 1st Wolfhound. He's a big boy, standing 36 inches to his shoulder and weighing in at 13 stone, but he truly is a gentle giant. He loves everybody and is very laid back and relaxed about everything - apart from hot air balloons and fireworks! He hates them with a passion! His favourite things are his beds, walks, the car, food and going to the pub with Mick and myself where he's a real celebrity. He absolutely adores his family - canine, feline and human! He has been and continues to be fantastic with the puppies and watches over them and Wendy. He is an especially wonderful boy and I absolutely adore him.

Wendy was our 2nd Wolfhound. It's true what they say - you never just have 1 Wolfhound and we got the bug when we got Waynie! Wendy is a very sweet, gentle, happy and elegant girl. She too loves everybody and is always wagging her tail, though it doesn't go from side to side, but round and round like a very fast windmill! Her favourite things are, like Waynie, her beds, walks and food but also her squeaky burger toy which she becomes paticularly obsessive about when she's in season! Though she loves our cats as part of the family she hates anybody elses cats and will chase them off if they dare to sit on our sheds, fences or come into our garden! She really is a wonderful precious girl and I feel very blessed to have her in my life.

Bobbie is 1 of Wendy's puppies. His favourite thing in the world is food, he loves to get his head in the dishwasher and "clean" the dirty plates and he can hear a food wrapper from a mile away! He also loves lots of attention, cuddles and toys. He's very respectful of his elders, though play fights endlessly with his sister Minnie. Bobbie is our show boy and is doing very well so far but unfortunately isn't very keen on car journeys, but we are working on it. He is a very friendly happy boy and is known as Snoggy Doggy because he is so loving and affectionate. Bobbie love to chase our cats, though he would never hurt them and often snuggles up on his beds with them. He really is a very special gorgeous boy and I find him absolutely irresistable.

Minnie is Wendy's 1st born puppy. We only ever intended to keep Bobbie but Minnie stole our hearts and we could not bear to part with her. She is a very independant girl with a mind of her own and a very strong will! She loves the river and trying to chase the ducks and also loves to try and stalk the birds on our walks over the moor where she has the ability at times to somehow suddenly develop selective hearing! She loves to boss her brother around, but like Bobbie is very respectful of Waynie and her Mum Wendy. Minnie is a very sweet, loving, pretty girl with fabulous dark brown eyes (and black eyeliner!) and she melts my heart.
